WNEV first broadcasts

Formerly WNAC but continuing to operate as Channel 7, the new station is operated by New England Television Corporation, a group of local investors led by David Mugar, whose ownership is made up of 14% minority investors. Mugar buys out most of the other investors in 1986 and sells it to Sunbeam Television Corp. of Florida in 1993.
